This website keeps almost nothing about you. This page says exactly what, why, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible

What is collected

• When you visit. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, whose servers receive each request (including your IP address and browser type) in order to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse.
• Visit counts. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and page-load performance without cookies, without storing your IP address, and without fingerprinting or following you across sites. We see only totals.
• When you email us. We keep your message and email address so we can reply, and as ordinary business records.

There are no cookies, forms, accounts, advertising or third-party trackers on this site.

Why, and on what basis

For visitors in the EU, the UK and similar jurisdictions: we process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests in running, securing and understanding the use of the website, and in answering the people who write to us (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), or to take steps you ask for before a contract, such as scoping a project (Article 6(1)(b)).

Who else handles it

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and provides the visit counts, processing data in the United States and other countries. Cloudflare is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension, and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Email passes through our email provider. We don’t sell or share information with anyone else.

How long it is kept

Visit counts are aggregate and contain nothing that identifies you. Cloudflare keeps request logs under its own retention policy. We keep email for as long as the conversation and our business records require.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of anything we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, or move it elsewhere. Email scott@earthaccess.us. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
